The second route of the ZIL — Pechatniki regular river electric transport turned three years old. Since its opening, passengers have made 1.3 million trips on it. This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry. Maxim Liksutov.
“On September 29, 2023, Sergey Sobyanin launched the second regular river route ZIL — Pechatniki. At that time, innovative electric vessels began transporting residents of Pechatniki, Nagatinsky Zaton, Nagatino-Sadovniki, Donskoy, Danilovsky, and other districts of Moscow. Today, the route continues to gain popularity among city residents and visitors to the capital. Since the beginning of the year, passengers have made 320 thousand trips on it,” said Maxim Liksutov.
Today, nine piers have been opened on the second regular river route. More than 700,000 people live near them. Thanks to the opening of the route, city residents and tourists have received a new innovative mode of transport.
The ZIL — Pechatniki route connects residential and business districts, as well as popular city spots. On the innovative vessel, you can reach 10 business centers, an entertainment complex, and the Southern River Terminal.
In three years, electric ships on the second route have made more than 67 thousand trips. They operate every day from 07:00 to 23:00.
All four regular river routes are fully integrated into the Moscow transport system. For holders of the “Unified” subscription for 30, 90, and 365 days, trips on electric vessels are free of charge.
A favorable morning fare is also available on the second and third regular river routes. On weekdays from 07:00 to 11:00, the trip can be taken at a discount 50 percent.
The regular route ZIL — Pechatniki is not just a transportation direction on the Moscow River. As with other routes, the State Public Institution “Transport Organizer” together with partners regularly conducts lectures and other events on it. The date and time are published on weekends in the channels Moscow Department of Transport and “Depttrans. Poster” in the messenger “Max”.
Also available for passengers on the regular river route ZIL — Pechatniki audio tours about the history of the city’s industrial blocks, parks, and districts.

River passenger transport in the capital
Four regular river routes operate in the capital today: Kievsky — Fili Park, ZIL — Pechatniki, Novospassky — ZIL, and Luzhniki — Kievsky.
Regular river electric transport has been revived in the city three years ago: On June 20, 2023, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin launched the Kievsky — Heart of the Capital route, which was later extended twice to the pier at Fili Park.
On September 29, 2023, Sergey Sobyanin opened the second route ZIL — Pechatniki nine kilometers long. It featured six dock stops: ZIL, Avtozavodsky Bridge, Klenovy Boulevard, Southern River Station, Nagatinsky Zaton, and Pechatniki.
And on September 3, 2024, two routes were opened at once four berths: first — Krasnopresnensky Park, second — Nagatinsky Zaton, Novinki, and Kolomenskaya Embankment.
On June 20, 2025, a pier was opened on the second regular route Moscow Shipyard. On the same day, regular service was opened on the third route Novospassky — ZIL.
The length of the second ZIL — Pechatniki route is over 11 kilometers. Currently, nine piers are open on it. The route has connected the developing residential neighborhoods of the south and southeast of the capital.
Regular river electric transport has no analogues in the world. The vessels are entirely Russian-made. Information screens and USB chargers are installed in the cabin, free Wi-Fi is available, and there are areas designated for carrying bicycles. Each vessel, depending on the production series, accommodates from 50 to 56 people, including spaces for passengers with limited mobility. The innovative transport and all its infrastructure are environmentally friendly and have zero emissions of harmful substances.
Modern docks can accommodate up to two vessels simultaneously. Some of them can charge the transport directly during the stay. This is a unique solution.
Comfortable waiting areas with sofas are arranged for passengers at the piers; there are restrooms adapted for parents with children and people with disabilities. Boarding can be done through turnstiles adapted for visually impaired and mobility-impaired passengers — with bright color backgrounds and large font on the screens. The duty operator in the pier pavilion answers passengers’ questions and is always ready to help.
New turnstiles of Russian manufacture have been developed and installed at the piers. They are shorter and thinner than the ones used in the metro, making it even easier to pass through them.
All Moscow electric vessels are of ice class “Ice 20.” This high category allows them to operate independently on fine broken ice up to 20 centimeters thick.
Regular river routes connect districts and boroughs, residential complexes, business centers, and other points of attraction. Integrating river routes into a unified network with ground and rail transport, and organizing transport hubs, provides new travel options for all Muscovites, and for residents of certain areas — the most comfortable and fastest transportation.
First four electric vessels The production of the Moscow shipyard was launched on May 26, 2026. The ceremonial event was attended by the Deputy Chairman of the Government of Russia Vitaly Savelyev, the Mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin, and the Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Andrey Nikitin.
