The signing took place within the framework of the XIII Russian Biotechnology Forum “OpenBio” in the science city of Koltsovo, Novosibirsk region. The partnership is aimed at developing scientific research, including the development of innovative RKN cancer vaccines and their further application in the creation and production of medicines.
Cooperation with NSU involves supporting the university’s scientific developments aimed at bringing high-tech innovative drugs to the market. Among them are RNA vaccines against cancer and CAR-T technologies, which allow reconfiguring a patient’s own immune cells to combat the disease. The memorandum on comprehensive cooperation covers a wide range of biomedical fields, including mRNA technologies. Promising scientific solutions will be able to receive further development within the Company’s projects.
— We are developing Artsellence as a platform where domestic scientific developments transform from ideas into new drugs. We have both the production capacities and a team of top-class specialists for this. Partnership with NSU will allow us both to support the projects of Russian scientists and to develop new technological solutions, which will ultimately provide patients with affordable and effective innovative medications for treating life-threatening diseases. This is where we see the practical meaning of the synthesis of science and business., — noted Ilya Bardin-Denisov, CEO of Artsellence.
NSU is part of the scientific ecosystem of Novosibirsk Akademgorodok, uniting research teams in the fields of biology, medicine, and related sciences. Collaboration with the university gives Artsellens the opportunity to support the developments of scientific teams and help implement promising technologies into the company’s projects. The opening of the second phase NSU campuses, which includes the Educational and Scientific and Research Centers, creates new opportunities for the development of this partnership. The new infrastructure will enable the advancement of biomedical research and the training of specialists for the industry. Collaboration with Artsellence will help link the scientific and educational work of the campus with the objectives of future production: from drug development to preparing personnel with the competencies required for their manufacturing.
— The main objectives of the collaboration will be not only the development of new drugs but also the training of personnel with unique competencies for working in production. NSU has a strong fundamental base, clinical bases, experience in preparing registration dossiers and conducting clinical trials. In partnership with Artsellence, this will cover all stages of the medical products life cycle — from development to implementation in clinical practice., — she explained Yulia Samoilova, Director of the Institute of Medicine and Medical Technologies
