Since the beginning of the implementation renovation programs Residents of 1306 old houses — more than 221.6 thousand city dwellers — have completed the paperwork for new housing. This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Policy and Construction. Vladimir Efimov.
“The first houses where all residents completed the paperwork for apartments in modern residential complexes under the renovation program appeared in September 2018. These were five-story buildings on Konstantin Fedin Street in Northern Izmailovo, which marked the beginning of relocation under the renovation program. Now, comfortable housing in new buildings has been obtained by 100 percent of Muscovites from 1,306 houses across all districts of the capital — over 221.6 thousand people. The most such buildings in nine years appeared in the east of the capital — 234 houses. Almost 38.3 thousand city residents lived in them. In the southeast, contracts for apartments in new buildings were fully concluded by relocation participants from 198 buildings — more than 37.7 thousand Muscovites, and in the west — over 25.7 thousand residents of 155 houses,” reported Vladimir Efimov.
Since the beginning of 2026, residents of 183 buildings have completed the paperwork for relocation — that is almost 40 percent more than during the same period last year.
“Among all the districts of the capital, Lyublino in the southeast holds the first place for the number of buildings in which, throughout the entire implementation of the renovation program, 100 percent of residents have already signed contracts for apartments in new buildings. In it, the right-holders of new real estate are already all city residents from 58 buildings — more than 11.7 thousand people. In the east of Moscow, Northern Izmailovo and Izmailovo stand out in this regard, where inhabitants of 38 buildings in each have completed the registration of documents — more than 7.4 thousand and 6.2 thousand resettlement participants, respectively. In the west, in the Mozhaysky district, Muscovites from 34 old buildings have fully received housing under the renovation program — about 4.6 thousand people,” she clarified.

Whenever possible, the city provides renovation program participants with apartments in new buildings constructed in the same area where they previously lived. The exception is the Troitsky and Novomoskovsky administrative districts and Zelenograd. In these areas, relocation takes place within the district boundaries.
The renovation program was approved in August 2017. It concerns about one million Muscovites and provides for the relocation of 5,176 houses. Sergei Sobyanin instructed to increase the pace of the renovation program implementation in twice. The Mayor of Moscow also stated that in August the capital launched the second phase of the plant for the production of prefab structures for the accelerated construction of residential buildings, including for the renovation program.
