Tour of the Museum of Memory exhibition

The guided tour will cover the exhibition of the Memory Museum, encompassing all stages of the Great Patriotic War. Visitors will learn about historical facts. The atmosphere of the era will be recreated through thematic installations and interactive exhibits. In addition, with the help of the digital module “Your Story,” guests will be able to personally contribute to preserving the memory of the Great Patriotic War — by uploading the biographies and histories of their relatives to the multimedia archive.
The tour is dedicated to the tragedy of the Soviet people during the war years. The scale of events is gradually revealed through the story of a typical Soviet family. The stories of the heroes, created based on real prototypes, reflect the fates of millions of people who faced harsh trials. The exhibition is located on the second and third floors.
The museum addresses facts that today are increasingly being attempted to be rewritten or erased from global memory — from plans to destroy Soviet citizens, crimes against childhood, theft and destruction of cultural valuables, to the liberation of Europe by the Red Army and the elimination of the bacteriological threat in the Far East.

“Georgian polyphony”

At the Moscow International House of Music, the group Acappella Saqartvelo will present unique Georgian polyphony. The national color and the spirit of the high mountains are felt in every sound of the program. Guests will hear ancient songs from various regions of Georgia, church chants, and urban romances.

Two significant compositions of the 20th century will be performed in the Zaryadye Concert Hall: Alfred Schnittke’s Cello Concerto No. 1, written in 1985–1986 and dedicated to Natalia Gutman, as well as Dmitri Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 4 in C minor, created in 1935–1936 and first performed only in 1961.
The State Academic Symphony Chapel of Russia under the direction of conductor Valery Polyansky will take the stage. The soloist is Alexander Knyazev, People’s Artist of Russia (cello), laureate of international competitions.

“Chronicles of English Theatre in Moscow”

The exhibition “Chronicles of English Theatre in Moscow” is being held at the “Na Kashirke” gallery, dedicated to the work of the British and Russian actor, director, and poet Martin John Cook. Inspired by Russian literature and the Stanislavski system, he moved to Russia in 2006, where he continued working in theatre and founded a musical-dramatic theatre. The troupe stages performances for children and adults in English and also conducts classes in acting and stage speech.
The exhibition includes rare photographs from performances, rehearsals, and behind the scenes of the theater. Visitors will get acquainted with the musical and poetic works of Martin Cook.

“Ghoul. The Story of One Incident”

The theater center “Vishnevyy Sad” invites you to the play “The Ghoul. The Story of an Incident.” The production, based on Alexei Tolstoy’s novella “The Ghoul,” combines elements of detective, horror, and mysticism.
The actors invite the audience to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of Gothic literature, to feel the tension and fear experienced by the characters, and to reflect on what is actually happening: truth or a game of an inflamed imagination.

“Gagarin. Lieutenant of the Sky”

In the “Media Center” pavilion of the Zaryadye Park, a film about the flight of the spacecraft Vostok-1 and the deployment of hundreds of satellites into orbit will be shown. Viewers will see sunlight in outer space together with Yuri Gagarin.
Media artists Yan Kalnberzin, Evgeny Afonin, and composer Nikolai Popov worked on the film. During filming, the creators also used neural networks and 3D graphics.

Open rehearsal of the play “Seventeen Moments of Spring”

An open rehearsal of the play “Seventeen Moments of Spring” based on Julian Semenov’s novel will be held at the Moscow Drama Theater “Modern.” The audience will find out who will play the role of Stirlitz and will be able to ask questions to the director and artistic director of the theater, Yuri Grymov. In particular, guests will hear why the play is based on chapters of the novel that were not included in the television adaptation.
