In the last summer month, housing in new buildings by renovation program were received by all residents of 46 other old buildings. More than 8,900 people lived in them. This was reported by Ekaterina Solovyova, Minister of the Moscow Government, head of the Moscow Department of City Property.
“Signing contracts for new apartments is one of the decisive stages of resettlement, on which the speed of the entire renovation program largely depends. After 100 percent of participants in the program from old houses complete the paperwork and move into new buildings, the city demolishes the vacated buildings to free up sites for the construction of new residential complexes. In August, the list of buildings whose residents have all signed contracts for new property grew by another 46 addresses. More than 8.9 thousand Muscovites lived in these old houses. This is the highest figure since the beginning of the year. In May, there were only 27 such buildings added, in March — 26, and fewer in other months. If you compare August 2026 with the same period last year, the difference is even greater — almost three times,” said Ekaterina Solovyeva.
Most of the buildings whose residents completed document processing in August are located in the northeast of the capital — 10 buildings. Nearly 2,100 Muscovites received apartments there. On the north side, such addresses increased by seven, and in the southwest — by six. From these buildings, about 1,200 and more than 1,100 residents respectively have already moved into new apartments or are currently in the process of relocation.
The renovation program was approved in August 2017. It concerns about one million Muscovites and involves resettling 5,176 buildings. Previously, Sergey Sobyanin instructed to increase the pace of the renovation program’s implementation in twice.
