In September, the city transferred 38 non-residential premises located in apartment buildings and administrative buildings into common shared ownership. Their total area amounted to over 10,200 square meters. This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Development Policy and Construction. Vladimir Efimov.

“Owners of housing in apartment buildings were given the opportunity to register common property objects as shared ownership in 2014 by order of Sergey Sobyanin. In 2021, the same right was granted to owners of real estate in administrative buildings. In September of this year, the list of objects transferred by the city into shared ownership was supplemented by 38 non-residential premises. They are located in seven administrative districts of the capital and have a total area exceeding 10.2 thousand square meters. Of these, 36 objects are located in apartment buildings, and two—in non-residential structures,” said Vladimir Efimov.

Property owners can register the right of common shared ownership of basements, attics, stairwells, and utility rooms. Most often, residents of apartment buildings use them to set up concierge workstations or to store seasonal items, bicycles, scooters, and baby strollers.

“The majority of the properties transferred in September are located in the Central Administrative District — 16 basement premises with a total area of 625.2 square meters. They are located in residential buildings. In total, more than 10.1 thousand square meters of real estate have been transferred to the owners in apartment buildings. Approximately 35 square meters of non-residential properties have been transferred into shared ownership,” she noted Ekaterina Solovyova, Minister of the Moscow Government, Head of the Department of City Property.

Data on such objects are regularly updated and published on the mos.ru portal, as well as on legal resources that contain current regulations taking into account the latest changes. Registration of ownership rights to the common property of an apartment building is carried out at the request of the rights holders on an application basis.

In May, the city transferred 54 real estate properties into joint ownership.
