The first Russian industrial 3D printer operating using selective laser sintering technology has received an official registry entry in the State Industrial Information System. This was reported by the Minister of the Moscow Government, Head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy of the city of Moscow Anatoly Garbuzov.
“More than 30 companies in the city manufacture 3D printers, their components, as well as production materials — from polymers to metal powders. The inclusion of domestic equipment in the Ministry of Industry and Trade’s register is an important step for the development of this sector. For enterprises, this is not only a confirmation that the products are made in Russia but also additional opportunities for procurement and receiving support measures. The presented printer is designed for manufacturing parts from polymer materials. It allows producing both single large parts and batches of products, while automatic temperature and motion control systems ensure process stability,” noted Anatoly Garbuzov.
The development is intended for the manufacture of products from polymer materials and can be used in aircraft manufacturing, the space industry, mechanical engineering, the oil and gas sector, and energy. Potential customers also include medical enterprises, state corporations and companies with state participation, higher education institutions, and research centers.
“For technology companies, it is important not only to develop an advanced solution but also to bring it to practical application. Moscow Innovation Cluster (MIC) helps to go through this path step by step: to find potential customers, test the technology in real conditions, get feedback, and prepare the solution for further scaling and entering new markets. This approach allows shortening the path from development to implementation and creating conditions for the growth of domestic technology companies,” she noted

The equipment was created by the Moscow-based company “ONSINT” — a member of MIK and a resident of the Skolkovo Innovation Center. The company develops and manufactures industrial laser powder 3D printers and comprehensive solutions in the field of additive technologies of selective laser melting and selective laser sintering.
With the support of MIC, the enterprise is developing cooperation with the capital’s technological infrastructure. Using the “Customer Showcase” service, the developer was able to present its solutions to potential partners, including major companies in the railway and aircraft manufacturing industries. As a result, 3D printing equipment was implemented at production sites, and the company received new requests from customers.
This year, the company also became a finalist in the “Innovation Marathon” program. Within its framework, major customers in the transport sector were presented with equipment for 3D printing using polymer and metal materials, which allows the creation of lightweight and durable structures.

Obtaining a registry entry expands the enterprise’s capabilities for participating in government and corporate procurement. The Russian status of the equipment allows its use in the implementation of relevant projects, as well as provides access to certain support measures stipulated by import substitution programs.
The use of domestic equipment helps customers reduce dependence on supplies of foreign machinery. Production in Russia simplifies service maintenance, the purchase of spare parts, and consumables. To purchase such installations, it is also possible to attract preferential financing from the Industrial Development Fund and take advantage of preferential leasing programs.
