Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak held a meeting of the gasification headquarters with the participation of the First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Vladimir Yakushev, representatives of federal and regional authorities, and industry companies.
Preliminary results for 2026 on achieving the target indicators of social pre-gasification were summed up, and additional decisions and measures necessary to fulfill the planned objectives were also considered.
“In accordance with the instructions of the President of Russia and the initiative of the United Russia party, we continue the implementation of the social gasification program. It applies not only to private households, but also to schools, kindergartens, hospitals, feldsher-midwife stations, as well as to the households of citizens located in garden non-commercial partnerships in gasified settlements. This is a people’s project, fully meeting the objectives of the country’s development and achieving national development goals,” emphasized the Deputy Prime Minister.
It was noted that to date, the number of contracts concluded under the program already exceeds 1.9 million, gas has been supplied to more than 1.2 million households. More than 14,500 houses in gardening non-commercial partnerships (SNT), 187 schools and kindergartens, and 234 hospitals and feldsher-midwife stations have been gasified.
In accordance with the May 2024 decree of the President of Russia on the national development goals of Russia for the period until 2030 and prospects until 2036, the task has been set to ensure, within the framework of the social gasification program, the connection of at least 1.6 million households to the natural gas network by 2030 and 3 million by 2036.
“Thanks to the coordinated work of the Government, federal and regional authorities, and the Gazprom company, the social gasification program has yielded significant results in improving the comfort of life and welfare of the citizens of our country. The number of families who have received the opportunity to use an economical and environmentally friendly type of fuel has exceeded 1.2 million. A significant effect on the development of regions was the connection of school boiler houses, kindergartens, medical institutions to gas networks, as well as the inclusion of cottage settlements in the gasification program. In the course of direct dialogue between the party and the regions and citizens, we see that there is also a strong demand to include cultural centers in the social gasification program,” noted Vladimir Yakushev.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Alexander Novak emphasized the importance of achieving the target indicators of the social pre-gasification program and urged the relevant ministries to take special control over the progress of this work. It is also necessary to create an implementation schedule for the program for the period until 2030, including specific actions and steps, which will allow planning the process years in advance. Another important direction is the intensification of the creation of a digital platform that could accelerate the pace of pre-gasification of the population.
