The multifunctional film shooting pavilion is available at the Moskino film park. Its technical equipment was completed in August. This is a modern high-tech production facility designed for carrying out film shoots of varying complexity. It was opened in September 2025. During this time, one major project has been filmed there.
The creators of the new adventure film “Cheerful U,” a spinoff of the movie “One Hundred Years Ahead,” worked in the studio on key scenes of the project. The film will be released on April 15, 2027. It became the first project to utilize the new studio pavilion in the film park at the end of 2025. The lead role of the space pirate was played by the famous Russian actor Alexander Petrov. The filmmakers highly appreciated the venue — convenient infrastructure, the ability to build large sets, and comfortable working conditions.
By the end of 2026, two feature films are planned to be shot in the pavilion — a dramatic action thriller and a family fantasy.
Capabilities of a multifunctional film shooting pavilion
The pavilion has two floors, with a total area of 3,820 square meters. The area of the first level is 2,988 square meters, and the second level is 832 square meters. The shooting area on the first floor is 1,910 square meters, and the ceiling height in the shooting area is 20 meters. On each floor of the shooting pavilion, there are six makeup rooms.
The shooting area on the first floor is the main space of the pavilion, which allows for the placement of large-scale sets. There are dressing rooms, storage rooms, costume rooms, sanitary and technical areas, lobbies, and vestibules.
On the second floor, there are four administrative office spaces, meeting rooms, and offices. The pavilion is also equipped with a freight elevator covering an area of about seven square meters. Thanks to this, filmmakers can deliver decorations weighing up to two tons to the second floor of the pavilion. In addition, the pavilion has aluminum catwalks.
The pavilion is also equipped with a complex of engineering systems and structural solutions that ensure a high level of sound insulation and the possibility of conducting shoots of varying complexity. Silence inside is guaranteed by special soundproofing zones located on the partitions, walls, and ceiling of the complex.
The MosKino film park is part of Sergey Sobyanin’s “Moscow — City of Cinema” project and an element of the Moscow film cluster. The second phase of development has already been completed here: 36 outdoor sets, six pavilions, and 14 infrastructure facilities have been built, including the sets “Brest Fortress,” “Provincial Cities of Europe,” “Yuzovka,” “Mines,” “European City,” “Modern Moscow,” “Reichstag,” “Russian Medieval City,” “Cities of Eastern Europe,” and other locations.
The Moscow film cluster consists of infrastructure facilities, services, and amenities for filmmakers, which Government of Moscow is developing as part of the “Moscow — City of Cinema” project. Its structure includes the MosKino film park, the Gorky Film Studio (sites on Sergei Eisenstein Street and in Valdaisky Passage), the MosKino film factory, the MosKino cinema network, the film commission, and the MosKino film platform.
