The results of the scholarship appointment competition have been summarized The President and the Government of the Russian Federation for the 2026/2027 academic year. Among the winners were 41 students from the State University of Management.
Students of the State University of Management demonstrated high results in the competitive groups “Social Sciences” and “Engineering, Technology, and Technical Sciences.”
The scholarships of the President and the Government of the Russian Federation are among the significant measures of state support for talented students. Starting from September 1, 2025, an updated system for awarding them is in effect. The amount of the Government of the Russian Federation scholarship is 20 thousand rubles per month. It is awarded for a term of one year and paid monthly. Each year, no more than 5,700 students across the country can receive such support.
Selection takes into account students’ achievements related to their field of study. Thus, state support becomes not only a material incentive but also recognition of the results that students achieve in academic, scientific, project, and other types of activities.

For the students themselves, winning the competition was confirmation that consistent work in studies and science truly yields results.
Maria Vikulova, a third-year student in the Economics program, explains that when preparing her application, she aimed to present not individual achievements, but her entire journey of professional and academic development:
“I approached the Government scholarship application comprehensively: I wanted to showcase not just individual achievements, but my entire journey of professional and scientific development. International olympiads gave me the opportunity to test my knowledge and analytical skills in conditions of serious competition. Scientific articles allowed me to delve deeper into research work, while project and organizational activities helped develop managerial skills and gain practical experience.“.
According to Maria, the competitive selection process itself sets a high bar and motivates you to move forward:
“I perceive the positive decision as an accurate assessment of the systematic nature of my preparation. Ahead lie new research challenges, and this result sets the right benchmark!»
Shared his experience as well Nikita Kolotushkin, a third-year student in the Applied Informatics program. He was advised to apply for the scholarship by colleagues from the Laboratory of Digital and Intelligent Mobility at the State University of Management and university professors. To participate in the competition, Nikita compiled a portfolio combining the results of his scientific and project work.
“To participate in the competition, I assembled a portfolio that included scientific publications, victories in hackathons, case championships, and contests. For me, receiving a scholarship from the Government of the Russian Federation is a recognition of my achievements and an additional opportunity to focus on research work.“, — said Nikita Kolotushkin.
For Anastasia Glushkova, a 4th-year student in the ‘Human Resource Management’ program, the news of receiving the scholarship was unexpected:
“When I found out that I was among the recipients of the Russian Government scholarship, I felt immense joy and pride! Honestly, I did not even expect to be among such strong and talented students and graduates of our university“.
Anastasia notes that she did not engage in scientific and educational activities solely for the purpose of participating in the competition. Her interest in research appeared much earlier:
“I have always been interested in scientific and educational activities: since my second year, I actively started writing articles and participating in various events and projects. Therefore, when my achievements were noticed and I was informed that I was nominated for a scholarship, I initially couldn’t believe it was possible. The joy is limitless. Thank you to the university for the support and such an opportunity! Onwards and upwards!»
For graduating students, there is an opportunity to continue receiving the scholarship of the Government of the Russian Federation when enrolling in 2026 in bachelor’s, specialist’s, or master’s degree programs in accordance with the competition conditions.
