As part of the major renovation program for the housing stock, specialists of the urban economy complex of Moscow They began renovating a house built in the neoclassical style. It is located at 7 Bolshaya Dorogomilovskaya Street. The project will restore the facade, the roof, the basement, and several engineering systems.
To preserve the architectural appearance of the historic building, a unique work execution project was developed, and high-quality domestic materials and technologies were selected that best correspond to this grand structure.
Neoclassicism is one of the hallmarks of the architectural portrait of the capital. The seven-story residential building was constructed in 1940 according to a custom design. The facade is distinguished by windows of various formats, trim, and lintels. The balconies on the third floor are supported by ornate brackets. The storefronts on the ground floor are decorated with porticoes featuring columns. Along the perimeter of the main and end facades runs a crowning cornice.
The restoration of the facade began with cleaning the exposed surfaces from accumulated dirt and peeling parts of the plaster layer. Specialists treated the surfaces with antifungal and antiseptic compounds and repaired the damaged areas of the brickwork.
Currently, restoration work is underway on the plaster layer and architectural decor of the exterior walls. After updating the structure, the plastered surfaces of the main facade and the courtyard brick walls will be painted in historical colors. At the final stage, the entrance groups and the plinth will be repaired, and new downspouts will be installed. The roof covering, battens, and rafters of the building, which have suffered significant wear, will be replaced.
