Bishkek, July 30 /Xinhua/ — The Embassy of the PRC in Kyrgyzstan recently held a reception in Bishkek on the occasion of the 99th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Liberation Army of China /PLA/.

More than 300 people participated in the solemn event, including diplomats from the embassy, representatives of the military and political circles of Kyrgyzstan, diplomatic missions of various countries, and the Chinese diaspora.

The Chinese Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan, Liu Jianping, recalled the glorious path taken by the PLA, explained the spirit of the Long March, and emphasized that the PLA always adheres to a defensive policy and is a firm force protecting national interests and world peace.

The diplomat emphasized that the armies of China and Kyrgyzstan must conscientiously implement the consensus reached by the leaders of the two states, promote the continuous development of cooperation in various fields at a deeper and more productive level, and jointly safeguard peace and stability in both countries.

The Minister of Defense of Kyrgyzstan, Ruslan Mukambetov, congratulated the Chinese side on the momentous date and highly appreciated the long-standing friendly relations between the two armies, stating that the Kyrgyz side is ready to deepen inter-army cooperation together with the Chinese side for the benefit of the peoples of both countries.
