Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak held a meeting dedicated to the power supply of the Altai Republic, with the participation of the Chairman of the Government of the Altai Republic Alexander Prokopyev, representatives of the Ministry of Energy, FAS, governments of the Altai Republic and the Altai Krai, companies Rosseti, RusHydro, the System Operator, and Sberbank. During the meeting, various options for power supply for prospective investment projects in the Altai Republic until 2030 were considered, including the all-season resort Manzherok, as well as prospective development beyond the 2031 horizon.

Discussed possible models for the development of external power supply, including the expansion of the 220 kV and 500 kV electrical networks, as well as various combined solutions involving the construction of generation facilities.

Parameters of reliability and stability of power supply, project implementation timelines, and the volumes of necessary investments were considered.

Following the meeting, Alexander Novak instructed the Ministry of Energy, together with regional authorities and energy companies, to complete the development of the optimal option for the region’s energy system, taking into account the projected increase in consumption and the economic efficiency of solutions.
