Sana’a, July 27 /Xinhua/ — The Yemen-based armed group Houthis on Monday claimed to have launched drone strikes on facilities involved in the transportation of crude oil from the eastern part of Saudi Arabia to the Yanbu port on the Red Sea. According to the Houthis, their actions were in response to “intrusions into Yemen’s airspace” by Saudi drones.
In a statement published on the social network X, the official representative of the Houthi armed formations, Yahya Sarea, stated that the group attacked “a number of sensitive targets and facilities” involved in the transportation of crude oil along this route “with several drones.” Y.
