Bishkek, July 27 /Xinhua/ — A photo exhibition titled “Consolidation of SCO’s Potential: Moving Along the Path of Development Towards Prosperity,” dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the founding of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), opened on Monday in Bishkek. The exhibition is organized by the SCO Secretariat and the Chinese news agency Xinhua.

The exhibition consists of five sections: “A Joint Journey Over 25 Years,” “Strengthening Foundations for Peace Protection,” “Shared Prosperity: Opening New Opportunities,” “Bridges of Hearts: A Shared Future,” “A New Chapter of a Shared Destiny.”

32 photographs recreate the historical development path of the SCO, showcase impressive moments of practical cooperation, and preserve warm smiles symbolizing the rapprochement of peoples.

Senior expert of the SCO Secretariat Kadyrbek Sarbaev noted that the photo exhibition is dedicated specifically to the history of the SCO — how it was created, stood on its feet, developed, and ultimately turned into a major transregional structure. “The role of the SCO increases every year,” he emphasized.

“When we look at these photographs taken over 25 years, we can see different stages. We can see how the organization started, what steps were taken, how everything developed, and compare it with what we have now. These moments come together to form a complete picture of the long journey we have managed to go through together,” said Andrey Mokhor, CEO of the BelTA news agency.

According to him, the SCO proves by its example that it is possible to unite different peoples, efforts, policies, and economies of various countries in the name of the common good.

Kyrgyz expert Ismail Dairov, after viewing the photo exhibition, expressed admiration for the rapid development of the SCO over the past years. “It is clear what a huge path the SCO has traveled in 25 years. The future impressive development of the organization can only be welcomed,” he said.
