According to data from the Alashankou Customs Service, as of July 21 of this year, the number of China-Europe (Central Asia) freight trains passing through the Alashankou checkpoint in Xinjiang exceeded 5000. This milestone was reached 42 days earlier than last year, setting a new record for this border crossing for the same period.
The Alashankou Customs Service is promoting the “smart railway border checkpoint + expedited customs clearance at the place of location” model, continuously optimizing customs inspection and clearance processes. The Alashankou railway border checkpoint provides round-the-clock (7×24) services for preliminary customs clearance reservation and advance declaration on an ongoing basis, ensuring the swift and smooth departure of each cross-border train.
The deputy head of the railway control department of the Alashankou customs post, Dao Jin, reported that since the beginning of this year, an average of 25 China-Europe (Central Asia) trains pass through the Alashankou railway border crossing each day, with a maximum daily figure reaching 36 trains.
More than 57,000 China-Europe (Central Asia) trains have passed through the Alashankou railway border crossing in total; over 120 routes covering 21 countries and regions, including Germany and Poland, have been opened, transporting more than 200 types of cargo.
