Recently, an exhibition titled “The People and the Monument — an exhibition of classic fine art works from the collection of the National Museum of China” opened at the National Museum of China in Beijing. The exhibition features 20 paintings and 33 sculptures (sets) from the museum’s collections, dedicated to revolutionary-historical themes. They vividly illustrate the heroic history of the joint struggle between the Communist Party of China and the people, whose destinies are inseparably linked. The works recreate a grand scene of how the CPC led the people to overcome difficulties, achieve revolutionary victory, build the New China, and enter a new era.
