Vitebsk /Belarus/, July 20 /Xinhua/ — The closing ceremony of the jubilee 35th International Festival of Arts “Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk” took place on Sunday.
The festival concluded with a bright gala concert at the Summer Amphitheater, featuring participants of the 35th International Pop Song Performers Contest “Vitebsk.” Contestants from 19 countries performed a composition in one of the Slavic languages accompanied by the National Presidential Orchestra of Belarus. The grand prize of the contest was awarded to the artist from Italy, Soraya (Rosy Alfano). Well-known performers from various countries also appeared on the festival’s main stage.
The International Arts Festival “Slavianski Bazaar,” which started in 1992 and is held annually in Vitebsk in mid-July, has become one of the most significant international arts festivals in the CIS countries and Eastern Europe.
