Beijing, July 16 /Xinhua/ — China and the Netherlands should create a favorable environment for enterprises in order to resolve disputes through consultations and ensure the security and stability of global manufacturing chains and semiconductor supply chains, said He Yadong, an official representative of the Ministry of Commerce of China, on Thursday.

He Yadun made this statement at the latest press conference, responding to a question about progress in resolving issues related to Nexperia, a semiconductor company headquartered in the Netherlands and owned by the Chinese company Wingtech.

He said that over the period of more than 10 years since China and the Netherlands established comprehensive cooperative and partnership relations, bilateral trade and economic cooperation has been continuously deepening.

On July 7, the Dutch Minister of Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation, Sijerd Sjoerdsma, visited China, where he and Chinese Commerce Minister Wang Wentao jointly chaired the 18th meeting of the China-Netherlands Joint Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation. The parties held a frank and in-depth exchange of views on the trade and economic relations between China and the Netherlands, as well as between China and the EU, reported He Yadun.

Both parties agreed that the governments of the two countries should create favorable conditions to help enterprises resolve disputes through consultations and ensure the security and stability of global manufacturing chains and semiconductor supply chains, he added. -0-
