Beijing, July 14 /Xinhua/ — Former senior Chinese official Ma Xingrui has been expelled from the CPC and dismissed from public service for serious violations of party discipline and laws, according to an official statement released on Tuesday.
The investigation into Ma Xingrui was conducted by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Communist Party of China and the State Supervisory Commission of the PRC. The report on the investigation results was reviewed and approved at the Politburo meeting of the CPC Central Committee on June 30.
As revealed during the investigation, Ma Xingzhui seriously violated political and organizational discipline, as well as discipline concerning incorruptibility, helped his relatives acquire housing below market value, engaged in corrupt relationships in exchange for sexual services and monetary rewards, and allowed his relatives to use the influence of his position to obtain huge benefits, according to the statement.
According to the statement, Ma Xingrui abused his official powers in the interests of third parties, assisting them in matters such as conducting business activities of enterprises, concluding contracts for subcontracting work, and promotion, and illegally received money and valuables in large amounts either personally or in collusion with relatives or other close individuals.
Ma Xingyu’s actions seriously violated party discipline, resulted in official misconduct, and led to extremely negative consequences. In addition, he is also suspected of bribery.
In accordance with party rules and laws, the decision was made to expel Ma Xingrui from the party, dismiss him from public service, and confiscate property he unlawfully acquired.
