In his message, Xi Jinping noted that in 1961, the senior leaders of China and the DPRK signed the Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation, and Mutual Assistance between the PRC and the DPRK, laying an important political and legal foundation for strengthening the comradeship-in-arms of the peoples of the two countries, bonded by blood.

According to him, over the past 65 years, the parties have adhered to the spirit of the agreement, supported each other, stood shoulder to shoulder, closely cooperated and worked together, vividly demonstrating the distinctive features of bilateral relations characterized by a friendship passed down through generations, a shared destiny, and mutual assistance.
Xi Jinping marked his successful state visit to the DPRK in June, during which the leaders of the two countries reached an important consensus on strengthening and developing the traditional friendship between China and the DPRK, as well as enriching it with new epochal content. According to him, this provides strategic guidance and a new action plan for the development of bilateral relations in the new era.

“Regardless of changes in the international situation, the firm position of the CPC and the Chinese government, which attach great importance to the traditional friendship between the PRC and the DPRK, will remain unchanged; resolute support for Kim Jong Un in leading the socialist cause of the DPRK will remain unchanged; the firm determination to protect the common interests of the two countries and to maintain a favorable strategic environment will remain unchanged,” confirmed the Chinese leader.
Xi Jinping expressed confidence that under the leadership of the WPK headed by Kim Jong Un, the people of the DPRK will definitely fully implement the decisions and plans of the 9th WPK Congress and will continue to achieve new and even greater successes in the cause of socialist construction. –0–
