Beijing, July 10 /Xinhua/ — Relations between China and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea should consistently develop in a direction that promotes the strengthening of the socialist cause of each country and facilitates their modernization. This was stated on Friday by the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, President of the PRC Xi Jinping.
Xi Jinping made this statement in Beijing during a meeting with the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the DPRK Pak Thae Son, who is also a member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea and Deputy Chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK.
The Chinese leader emphasized that the current international situation is chaotic and confusing. China and the DPRK should maintain strategic determination, strengthen strategic confidence in their capabilities, accelerate the implementation of agreements reached between the leaders of the two countries, and ensure that the development of relations between the two parties and two states keeps pace with the times, Xi Jinping added.
