Jerusalem, July 10 /Xinhua/ — Israel is ready to join possible US military strikes on Iran if Washington requests it, but awaits the “green light” from US President Donald Trump. This was reported on Friday by the Israeli channel Kan TV News.
The report, which does not specify sources, states that according to estimates by Israeli officials, contacts between the United States and Iran may continue in the coming days.
The New York Post, citing an unnamed source in Jerusalem, reported that Israel would be interested in resuming military actions against Iran in case of an escalation of the conflict.
In response to alleged Iranian attacks on commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz, the United States has recently struck several targets in Iran, resulting in casualties and damage to infrastructure.
