Beijing, June 23 /Xin Hua/ — Roller sport competitions between China and Russia were held in the city of Dunnin, Heilongjiang Province /Northeast China/. The event involved 36 teams from 21 cities across two countries, with a total of about 400 roller athletes participating.
The city of Dunnan, a key border gate of Heilongjiang Province on the border with Russia, serves as an important window for humanitarian exchanges between the border areas of the two countries. In recent years, Dunnan has been consistently exploring new paths of integrated development based on the model of “sports + culture + tourism + cross-border trade,” continuously improving the sports brand with a unique border flavor, making sports an important connecting thread between China and Russia and a driver of urban development.
According to the news portal chinanews.com.cn, in the framework of roller competitions, multi-group racing contests were organized. Athletes from two countries competed on one site, demonstrating mastery, and sport became a universal language overcoming national borders.
The brightest moment of today’s event was the stage of the mass public roller run. Participants in the competition, together with local roller sports enthusiasts, formed a large ceremonial column that moved in an organized manner along the city’s main thoroughfares, creating a picturesque moving picture on Dunnin Street.
