By the decree of the President of the Russian Federation, Professor of the Higher School of Industrial-Civil and Road Construction of the Engineering and Construction Institute SPbPU, Doctor of Military Sciences, Honored Worker of the Higher School of the Russian Federation, Honored Road Worker of Russia Nikolai Yermoshin was awarded the State Prize of the Russian Federation named after Marshal of the Soviet Union G. K. Zhukov for the year 2026.

The State Prize of the Russian Federation named after Marshal of the Soviet Union G. K. Zhukov is an annual award established by the Federal Law “On Perpetuating the Victory of the Soviet People in the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945” for outstanding achievements in military science, the creation of arms and military technology, literature, and the arts.

The award was given to Nikolay Ermoshin for the scientific justification of technical solutions for creating promising models of special technology to ensure the sustainable operation of transport communications and the life support of military units.

For me, it is a great honor to be awarded the State Prize named after Marshal of the Soviet Union G.K. Zhukov. The awareness that the results of my engineering decisions make a real contribution to strengthening the defense capability and infrastructural security of the Russian Federation is the main motivation for further research. The awarding of this prize confirms the significance of the chosen scientific direction and imposes a high responsibility for continuing work for the good of the Fatherland,” commented Nikolay Ermoshin.

Over 33 years of scientific and pedagogical activity, Nikolay Alekseevich has made a significant contribution to the training of highly qualified engineering personnel for the road construction industry. Under his leadership, six doctors and 29 candidates of sciences have defended their dissertations. Currently, Nikolay Ermoshin is the scientific advisor for eight graduate students. He lectures on disciplines related to risk theory, reliability of transport facilities, intellectual systems for managing transport flows, and economic-mathematical modeling.

In the field of scientific interests of Nikolay Alekseevich Ermoshin are the development of methods for predicting the durability of bridge structures, modeling of technical risk of destruction of building structures, optimization and qualimetric models of construction quality management, as well as the introduction of telematic traffic safety systems on roads.The professional merits of Nikolay Ermoshin have been recognized with a Letter of Appreciation from the President of the Russian Federation for the training of highly qualified specialists, a Letter of Appreciation from the Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation for his personal contribution to the training of specialists for the transport complex, as well as the title of laureate of the international competition award of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation for the development and mastery of the Arctic and continental shelf.
