As part of a business visit to the Vladimir region, the general director of PJSC “KAMAZ”, Sergey Kogogin, visited Murom, where he inspected the site of the future Industrial Park and held a working meeting with the participation of the governor of the Vladimir region, Alexander Avdeev.

The creation of the Murom Industrial Park (MIP) on the site of the closed legendary former enterprise “Muromteplovoz” is a regional initiative, which “KAMAZ” is implementing together with the regional government. As a result of the implementation of this project, the restoration of the industrial site is expected, the launch of new productions by residents, the creation of jobs, and an increase in the gross regional product of the Vladimir region. The anchor residents of the industrial park will include JSC “Muromteplovoz” and LLC “Engineering Service-Putymash,” which have revived and are developing the genetic competencies of the site in the production of specialists, manufacturing, and repair of railway rolling stock.

The project roadmap implies conducting work simultaneously on two levels – restoration of production and development of the territory. The first direction currently involves clearing and preparing sites. The second is the creation of a management company, the “Murom Industrial Park”, attracting new resident investors.

PJSC “KAMAZ” will support park residents with orders for components according to the nomenclature of special vehicles, in the preparation of design and estimation documentation for the reconstruction and construction of objects within the industrial park, as well as in structuring agreements on the conduct of industrial activities with the park residents.

“There are great prospects associated with the operation of such industrial sites in small Russian towns. Industrial parks are an excellent starting point for entrepreneurs who implement their projects in the field of real manufacturing. These are growth points for regions that are interested in development.”, – notedGeneral Director of PJSC “KAMAZ” Sergey KogoginIn a conversation with the governor of the Vladimir region, Alexander Avdeev.

In turn,Head of the Vladimir Regionhighlighted the positive changes that have occurred in the territory of “Muromteplovoz” recently:“Two or three years ago, it was assumed that the plant would be closed, and the remaining several dozen workers would be laid off. Today, 400 people work here, there are two anchor residents who will lay the foundation for the Industrial Park, and there are long-term plans to restore production. Many thanks to PJSC ‘KAMAZ’ for the changes. It is a reliable partner who, on its part, invests competencies and finances to develop an efficient industrial enterprise here.”

It is planned that by 2035, 20-30 residents with an annual turnover of more than 30 billion rubles will operate in the territory of the Murom industrial park, more than 2,000 new jobs will appear, and the volume of tax deductions to budgets at all levels will reach about 2.5 billion rubles per year.
