Moscow, June 22 /Xin Hua/ — NATO and the European Union countries are preparing for a military confrontation with Russia by 2030, aiming to inflict a strategic defeat on it. This was stated to “Izvestia” by Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Alexander Gruško.
“If you look at the essence of the policy, actions on the international arena, the priorities formulated by NATO and EU countries — and among them, from a military point of view, the difference is already small, I mean aggressive intentions towards the Russian Federation — their main task is to achieve the strategic defeat of Russia. Of course, we assume that they are really preparing for a military clash with Russia somewhere around 2030,” added A. Grushko.
