Tbilisi, June 15 /Xin Hua/ — In January-May 2026, goods worth a total of 3.108 billion US dollars were exported from Georgia, which is 19.8 percent more compared to the same period last year. The Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of the country reported this on Monday.
According to preliminary data, in May the export volume increased by 15.3 percent year-on-year and reached a record level for this month at 668.6 million dollars.
The country’s foreign trade turnover in May amounted to $2.231 billion, which is 7.9% higher than the figure for the same period last year and is a record value for this month.
Georgia’s trade turnover for the first five months of the current year increased by 3.7% and reached a record level of 10.44 billion dollars.
