International arbitrator Ma Ning is one of the few representatives of China in the football sphere who will be involved during the 2026 World Cup in the USA, Canada, and Mexico. Recently, his name has been gaining popularity again on the Internet, attracting the attention of well-known international media.

On May 30, Ma Nin flew out of Beijing to Miami together with two other referees who were granted the right to officiate matches of the main World Cup tournament — international video referee Fu Min and international assistant referee Zhou Fei. For almost 10 days in Miami, Ma Nin and the other referees mainly moved between the hotel where they stayed and training grounds or places where training sessions were held. For example, Ma Nin trained on average about two hours a day, and the training included exercises for strength, agility, endurance, speed, and other aspects.The referees also set up new modern refereeing equipment and participated in refereeing training under simulated match conditions.
