Tehran, June 15 /Xin Hua/ — The Supreme National Security Council of Iran stated early Monday morning that the text of the memorandum of understanding /MOU/ between Tehran and Washington was finally agreed upon, and that the war and military actions on all fronts, including Lebanon, have been immediately and completely ceased.
The text of the memorandum was finally agreed on Sunday evening after many months of complex and intensive negotiations, according to a statement from the supreme council.
“Based on the reached agreement, the war and military actions on all fronts, including Lebanon, immediately and finally cease from this evening, and, moreover, the US naval blockade against Iran also immediately and completely ceases,” the statement says.
The document will be officially signed on June 19, and the negotiations between Iran and the USA on the final agreement will be postponed until both parties fulfill the obligations stipulated by the JCPOA.
In response to these events, the Central Headquarters of the Armed Forces of Iran “Khatam al-Anbiya” stated that the Iranian people, the country’s armed forces, and the resistance front imposed their will on the “enemies” /USA and Israel/ and conclusively proved that the “enemies” have no other way except to recognize defeat and surrender to the Iranian people.
