Almaty, June 11 /Xin Hua/ — Kazakhstan shipped 12.2 million tons of grain and flour in grain equivalent for export from September 2025 to May 2026, which is 13 percent more compared to the same period last year. This was reported on Thursday by the country’s Ministry of Agriculture, citing data from the national railway company “Kazakhstan Temir Zholy.”
For comparison, for the period from September 2024 to March 2025, this indicator amounted to 10.7 million tons.
There is an increase in the supply of Kazakh grain: to Uzbekistan – by 38% (from 3.6 million to 5 million tons), to Afghanistan – by 58% (from 1.3 million to 2 million tons), and to Turkmenistan – by 44% (from 137 thousand to 197 thousand tons). At the same time, supplies to Kyrgyzstan increased by 1.5 times (from 312 thousand to 474 thousand tons).
According to the Grain Union of Kazakhstan, the forecast for the export of grain and flour in the current agricultural year /September 2025 – August 2026/ is 13.59 million tons. –0–
