Almaty, June 10 /Xin Hua/ — In the city of Aktau, Mangistau region of Kazakhstan, an ammonia-carbamide plant worth over 800 billion tenge (about 1.6 billion US dollars) will be built. This was reported on Wednesday by the government’s press service.

The commissioning of the enterprise is planned for 2030. It is reported that about 1500 jobs will be provided during the construction period, and after the launch of the complex — 700 permanent ones.

The capacity of the future enterprise will allow the annual production of up to 660 thousand tons of ammonia, about 580 thousand tons of urea, and 500 thousand tons of ammonium nitrate. It is expected that by 2030, taking into account the launch of all investment projects, the projected volume of ammonia production in Kazakhstan will reach 2.3 million tons.
