In April – May, the dynamics of economic activity improved compared to the first quarter; at the same time, by sectors it remained extremely heterogeneous. Consumer demand continued to expand against the background of a waning increase in incomes.
The pace of consumer price growth slowed significantly in April and likely remained low in May. Temporary factors contributed significantly to this. Further inflation reduction and its stabilization around the target of close to 4% requires maintaining tight monetary conditions.
