Pyongyang, June 8 /Xin Hua/ — The firm position of the CPC and the Chinese government, which highly values the traditional friendship with the DPRK, will not change. This was stated on Monday by the General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, Chairman of the PRC Xi Jinping during negotiations with the General Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK), Chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK Kim Jong Un.
No matter how the international situation changes, the firm commitment of the CPC and the Chinese government to protect the common interests with the DPR and maintain a favorable strategic environment will not change, Xi Jinping noted.
According to him, both sides should resume exchanges at a high level as a guideline and strengthen the foundations of political trust.
