Beijing, June 4 /Xinhua/ — The Ministry of Finance of the PRC allocated 99.9 billion yuan (about 14.65 billion USD) from the central budget funds this year for child care allowance payments, which is 10.6 percent more than in 2025. This is part of measures to support the national system of subsidizing child care services.

According to ministry data, it is expected that the total amount of subsidies for 2026, including funds from local government budgets, will be approximately 110 billion yuan.

The distribution of subsidies is carried out systematically and in an organized manner, with health authorities at various levels being responsible for the procedure of consideration and payment.

The Ministry announced its readiness to continue working together with the State Committee on Healthcare Affairs of the CIS to ensure the proper functioning of the child subsidy system, strictly control the management of funds, strengthen oversight, and also contribute to the creation of a society favorable for childbirth. -0-
