Almaty, June 1 /Xinhua/ — In 2025, the volume of trade in agricultural products between Kazakhstan and Iran increased by 55.8% and reached 342 million US dollars, which accounted for 79% of the total volume of bilateral trade. This was reported on Monday by the Kazakh Ministry of Agriculture.
At the same time, Kazakhstan’s export of agricultural products to Iran increased by 97 percent and amounted to 238.5 million dollars. The volume of grain deliveries more than doubled, reaching 1.1 million tons worth 225.3 million dollars.
“Kazakhstan places special importance on expanding cooperation with Iran in the agricultural sector. Our markets are complementary, which is confirmed by the stable growth of mutual trade in agricultural products,” emphasized the Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan Aidarbek Saparov at a meeting with the Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade of Iran Seyed Mohammad Atabak.
