The Moscow government approved the project for the layout of a territory measuring 117 hectares in the northwest of the capital.
The organized site is located in the Pokrovskoe-Streshnevo and Yuzhnoye Tushino district — between Vishnevaya Street, the Skhodnensky Canal, the Skhodnya River, and the tracks of the second Moscow central diameter (Rizhskoye direction of the Moscow railway). Currently, it is occupied by outdated industrial, warehouse, communal, and other facilities.
The approved planning project envisions the construction of over 1.7 million square meters of real estate, including modern residential complexes (1.18 million square meters), schools for two thousand students, kindergartens for 700 children, public-business and other facilities.
In addition, it is planned to reorganize the street and road network. A total of more than six kilometers of roads will be reconstructed. Thus, Tushinskaya, Dolgova, and Meshcheryakova streets will be extended, the Western bridge over the Svodnensky Canal will be renovated, and an overpass will be built in front of the viaduct leading to it.
They also plan to improve and green areas of the territory with a total area of 9.94 hectares.
Thanks to the project implementation, more than 15 thousand people will be able to move into new housing, and more than 18 thousand new jobs will be created.
