Moscow Department of Cultureand the subordinate Agency for Creative Industries announce the start of the selection of participants for the 11th season of the “Design-Tse” competition.

Designers, marketers, artists, and other creative specialists are invited. They will have to develop concepts for souvenir products for five organizations: the Moscow State United Art-Historical and Architectural and Natural-Landscape Museum-Reserve “Kolomenskoye – Izmailovo”, the State Palace-Park Museum-Reserve “Ostankino and Kuskovo”, the Moscow Zoo, the State Biological Museum named after K.A. Timiryazev, and the State Museum of the Defense of Moscow.

Applications are accepted from May 27 to June 10 on the official websiteCreative industries agencies. The competition will take place on June 20–21, with about 120 designers, marketers, and creative specialists participating.

“Design-Center” is a competition for the best design solution for the production of souvenirs and merchandise. Participation in it provides an opportunity not only to demonstrate professional skills but also to establish useful business contacts. Over three years, more than a thousand specialists in the field of design and marketing have joined the project. They created products for leading organizations — from the Tretyakov Gallery to the Gzhel factory. Some of the developed products are already sold in museum shops and on online platforms.

For example, in 2025 the 8-beat Players team created video games and animation for the Moscow cluster featuring the adaptive mascot “Cyberkon.” This character, with a set of various skins, symbolizes stability and simultaneously dynamism, movement forward. For the Zhostovo Factory winners — the “Kaketki” team — merch was developed: clothing with prints based on the motifs of Zhostovo painting. Designers transferred recognizable elements onto T-shirts, sweatshirts, shirts, and jackets.
