“Thanks to the project, children get acquainted with famous jazz compositions, develop musical hearing and aesthetic taste, and broaden their horizons. In total, 17 jazz concerts were held during this time,” noted the press service of the capital’s Department of Education and Science.

“Thanks to the project, I attended a jazz concert for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. Previously, I wasn’t interested in this music genre, but it inspired me, so now I will listen to jazz more often and go to such concerts,” said Liana Dzhabrailo, a student at Medical College No. 7.

The season of the project ended with a concert on the stage of the Palace of Creativity for Children and Youth “Khoroshevo.” The audience was presented with a performance by the Big Jazz Orchestra under the direction of Petr Vostokov, as well as school and city groups of Moscow, including the wind orchestra of the Jazz Academy and the pop-jazz vocal group “Academy of Song.” They performed domestic and foreign jazz compositions, such as “Ballad” by Georgy Garanian, “Katyusha” by Oleg Lundstrem, and arrangements from the film “2001: A Space Odyssey” by Stanley Kubrick.
