Moscow, May 25 /Sina/ — Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov said on Monday that Armenia’s accession to the Eurasian Economic Union will lead to the loss of favorable conditions for cooperation with Russia. This was reported by RIA Novosti.
“The European Union, of course,” D. Peskov said to journalists when answering a question about whether joining any other organizations or unions might mean a loss of favorable cooperation conditions with Russia for Armenia.
D. Peskov reminded that the preferential price for gas attracting Yerevan may begin to form on a market basis if Armenia decides to leave the Eurasian Economic Union and join the EU.
“We know that there are political forces in Armenia that are full supporters of the Russian vector of development, oriented towards further deep participation in the integration process with the participation of the Russian Federation,” the Kremlin representative also noted. –0–
