Saint Petersburg, May 25 /Sina/ — Explosive devices were found on a gas carrier that arrived from Belgium at the port of Ust-Luga, Leningrad region, Russia. This was reported on Monday by the official representative of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Svetlana Petrenko.
It was established that the vessel Arrhenius, which departed from the Belgian port of Antwerp on May 20, entered the port of Ust-Luga for refueling, after which it was supposed to head to the Turkish port of Samsun. On the hull of the gas carrier, scuba divers discovered sea magnetic mines of factory production, made in one of the NATO countries. They were neutralized by employees of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation in cooperation with the Ministry of Defense and the National Guard.
