Rector of the State University of Management Vladimir Stroev took part in the meeting of the Council of the International Network Institute in the field of combating the legalization of criminal proceeds and financing of terrorism, which is being held today in Ashgabat. The focus of the meeting is the training of specialists for financial security: those who will work at the intersection of management, economics, analytics, and international cooperation.
The MSI Council became a platform where the educational agenda is considered through real industry tasks: what competencies future managers, economists, and analysts need to understand financial processes, see risks, and work in an international professional environment. The meeting was opened by the director of Rosfinmonitoring, chairman of the MSI Council Yuriy Chyanchin.
Special attention is paid to the International Movement for Financial Security, the ‘Commonwealth’ platform, and scientific research in the field of AML/CFT. Another important issue is the assessment of youth educational projects: not by the number of events, but by how they influence financial culture, legal thinking, and students’ readiness to apply knowledge in practice.
“Financial security today begins not with a separate course or project, but with the systematic training of specialists. The university should provide the student not only with knowledge but also with the ability to see risks, make responsible decisions, and understand how it affects the stability of the organization and the state,” noted the rector of GUU Vladimir Stroev.
For the IMF, participation in the IMF Council continues the university’s work in the field of financial security. This topic is directly related to management education: it is important for a modern manager to understand not only economic processes but also the logic of risks, data protection, and interdepartmental interaction.
The practical continuation of this work is the participation of the university in an educational project. Among them — International Olympiad on Financial Security, a preliminary stage which the HSE conducts with the support of Rosfinmonitoring. The Olympiad helps schoolchildren and students immerse themselves in the professional agenda even before entering the labor market.
The meeting in Ashgabat shows that the training of personnel for financial security is built on a constant exchange of experience between universities, experts, and practitioners. This approach helps to prepare specialists who not only know the theory but also understand how to apply it in a real financial system.
