The company’s exhibition showcasestourist bus KAMAZ-52229, running on compressed natural gas (CNG). This model belongs to the latest generation of the A5. The number of seats is 47. At the same time, the driver’s seat is equipped with pneumatic suspension, a three-point seat belt, adjustable headrest and armrest, heating, and presence sensors along with a fastened seatbelt. A sleeping place is also provided for the driver. The bus is equipped with video surveillance systems and climate control, an Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS). There is a kitchen unit with a refrigerator and a toilet. For the comfort and convenience of passengers, individual service units are located in the cabin, with seats that are soft and equipped with seatbelt sensors, USB chargers, armrests, and folding tables, featuring sliding mechanisms and adjustable backrests. There is a luggage compartment with a volume of at least three cubic meters, and hand luggage can also be placed on shelves above the seats, so passengers have constant access to their personal belongings. The bus is equipped with a KAMAZ gas-powered engine unit with a power of 235 kW and a robotic gearbox. The bus is equipped with gas cylinders with a total volume of 1110 liters, providing a water reserve of at least 500 km. Gas leak sensors are installed in the engine compartment, in the location of the gas cylinders, and in the PZH compartment to enhance safety.
Also, one more representative of the latest generation A5 is demonstrated at the stand –Electric bus KAMAZ-52222, the production of which started in 2025. The passenger capacity of the electric bus is 85 people, including 35 seats. The electric bus is equipped with a Russian NMC battery, which allows overcoming up to 100 km of distance without recharging (under the condition of 50% passenger capacity load and ambient temperature of +10 °C). For the first time in this model, sliding doors opening outwards are used. This solution eliminates passenger pinching and increases the interior space. The drive of all doors is electric. Also, a light indication system has been implemented, warning about the closing and opening of doors. The width of the accumulator platform has been increased to 1380 mm, which complies with European standards. An advanced climate system with optimal air flow distribution is used in the electric bus. The driver’s workplace has been modernized: space has been increased, several convenient options have been added, such as steering wheel heating and an electronic parking brake. The driver’s seat has received improved functionality to enhance comfort and reduce fatigue during the working day. Among the innovations of the KAMAZ-52222 electric bus is dynamic interior lighting. The floor lighting is integrated into the podiums, using atmospheric reflected light: cool in the morning, warm in the evening.
