Beijing, May 18 /Xinhua/ — Deputy Chairman of the CPC National Committee Han Zheng on Monday called for jointly upholding multilateralism and open cooperation, forming new advantages in the field of innovative development, enhancing the resilience of production and supply chains, and promoting the reform of the global economic governance system.
Han Zheng delivered an appropriate appeal at the opening ceremony of the 2026 Global Trade and Investment Summit in Beijing.
In his speech as Deputy Chairman of the CIS, he called for jointly creating an open and cooperative international economic environment, striving for scientific and technological innovations and their results to bring more benefits to the peoples of all countries, strengthening production coordination, technological exchanges and the harmonization of standards, actively implementing the Initiative on Global Management.
Reminding that the current year is the first year of the implementation of China’s 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-2030), Han Zheng assured that the PRC will continue to promote high-quality development, expand a high-level openness, and create a first-class internationalized business environment based on market principles and the rule of law. He also called on companies from all countries to further deepen their presence in the Chinese market.
