“Samaraneftegaz” (a subdivision of the oil production complex of NK “Rosneft”) increased the commercial drilling speed by 30% in 2025. The increase amounted to 328 meters per rig per month, with a total increase of 2155 meters. This was the result of the implementation of a set of modern technological solutions.
In 2025, the company’s specialists drilled 69 high-tech wells, including ones with complex configurations. Their construction requires special precision and the application of advanced engineering solutions, such as the implementation of autonomous geophysical complexes, as well as layouts for casing running with the possibility of rotating the column during descent. Samara oil workers also developed technology for reliably running casing columns in wells with complex trajectories, reducing construction time and costs. In some cases, these technologies are the only effective solution for overcoming zones of geological complications.
The implementation of the umbrella model for the distribution of technological service volumes ensured the selection of the optimal type of drill bit taking into account the specific geological and technological conditions of the well, which increased drilling efficiency.
Improving production efficiency is one of the key elements of the Rosneft – 2030 strategy. The company is carrying out large-scale work aimed at reducing operating costs, including through the implementation of advanced technological solutions.
