Hanchzhou, May 11 /Xinhua/ — Deputy Chairman of the CPC Han Zheng on Monday attended the opening ceremony of the World Conference on Digital Education 2026.
As Han Zheng noted, the integrated development of education and digital technologies such as artificial intelligence is at the same time an important opportunity for the global development of education, and a common task facing all countries.
According to the vice chairman of the CPC, China is ready to deeply discuss with all parties the vision for the development of digital education and its management methods, improve the system of rules and standards, and jointly promote transformations and innovations in digital education.
Han Zheng called for adhering to a human-centered approach and educating new people of the modern era who are capable of lifelong continuous learning, able to use artificial intelligence, and guide future development.
He also pointed to the necessity of facilitating joint construction and joint use of digital infrastructure so that the fruits of integrated development of digital technologies and education bring benefits to an even larger number of people.
It is necessary to strictly adhere to the principle of using artificial intelligence for good, ensuring its safe and orderly development, creating a system for monitoring and risk assessment, preventing abuses, emphasized the chairman of the UN.
