More than 1.5 billion rubles will be allocated in an advanced manner from the federal budget for the reconstruction of the drawbridge in Kaliningrad. Such an order was signed by the Chairman of the Government Mikhail Mishustin.

Allocated funding will allow accelerating the construction of the roadway part of the drawbridge over the Pregolya River on the Kaliningrad–Sovetsk section of the Kaliningrad railway and approaches to it. This is a significant facility for the main urban transport connection of Kaliningrad and the socio-economic development of the region as a whole. The reconstruction of its railway part was completed in 2024. The readiness of the roadway part now exceeds 53%. At the same time, construction work is advancing ahead of the planned financing schedule.

Speaking about the decision made onGovernment meeting on May 6, Mikhail Mishustin noted that the allocated funds will allow not only to accelerate work on the most important regional project, but also significantly unload logistics in its capital – Kaliningrad, increase transport accessibility for local residents and guests, and strengthen the economic and tourist potential of this constituent entity of Russia.
