If we talk about the humanities, this generally includes linguistics, history, philosophy, theology, and others under one umbrella of the humanities. If you look at all these scientific fields and educational processes, they are, of course, different. And they should be. Learning a foreign language requires depth, and not just teaching something to everyone in the first year.
And the scientists came across a number of letters asking to reconsider all this more thoroughly.
M. Mishustin:Here, all decisions will be made taking into account, of course, the opinions of scientists. Therefore, I would like to know your opinion before the ministry makes its decisions.
V. Sadovnichiy:Thank you. We have agreed with the minister that we will do it together. I created a large group from the former FUMO – federal educational and methodological associations. And this group has already started working with those pilot universities that were assigned this task, – 17, so that we carefully and accurately fulfill the President’s decree. And it is indeed fair that we must have a priority.
I’m not opposed to it – I’m telling this to the minister and to the Union of Rectors – there are indeed projects and decisions, but everything requires discussion. And it is very important that we come to a consensus.
