Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko congratulated workers in the fields of communications, radio engineering, and radio journalism on Radio Day.
The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that today in Russia there are more than 30 thousand specialists in the broadcasting industry.
“The technology of radio signal transmission created by the great Russian physicist Alexander Popov laid the foundation for the development of modern mobile communication, satellite systems, and high-speed data transmission networks. Currently, new promising domestic developments are being implemented in the field of broadcasting. This serves the achievement of technological leadership—a national goal set by our President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin,” said Dmitry Chernyshenko.
He noted that radio is very popular among Russian citizens: “News, analytical, entertainment, and music programs are listened to by more than 100 million people monthly. About 3.5 thousand licenses for broadcasting have been issued in our country, including in the reunited regions – Luhansk and Donetsk People’s Republics, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions.”
The state continues to support socially significant radio projects, and the government regularly recognizes bright programs and their authors with awards.
At the end of his congratulation, Dmitry Chernyshenko wished the workers in the field of communications, radio operators, and radio journalists health, wellbeing, success, and unwavering growth of a loyal audience.
