Washington, May 6 /Xin Hua/ — U.S. President Donald Trump on Wednesday again expressed optimism about the possibility of reaching a peaceful agreement with Iran.

“I think there is a very good chance of completion, but if this does not happen, we will have to bomb again,” said D. Trump in a telephone interview with the broadcasting service PBS.

As the American president noted, he believes that the USA is close to making a deal. “But I already thought so earlier, so we’ll see what happens,” he added.

According to PBS, the potential deal may involve Iran exporting its highly enriched uranium to the United States.

Moreover, it is noted that this time D. Trump is “unlikely” to send his special envoy Steven Wittkoff and son-in-law Jared Kushner to negotiations with Iran.

Earlier on the same day, the US president threatened that if Tehran does not agree to a peaceful deal with Washington, American military forces will resume bombings “at a much higher level and with much greater intensity than before.” –0–
